The Light Medic is a first responder–owned holiday lighting company rooted in Central Texas. We specialize in custom holiday lighting installations for homes and businesses, from design and setup to safe takedown after the season. We also offer permanent lighting solutions for year-round curb appeal, event lighting, and customizable control for holidays and special occasions.
But what truly makes us different isn’t just what we do, it’s how and why we do it.
The Light Medic was founded by a firefighter/paramedic who understands the value of reliability, safety, and integrity. Our team is made up of fellow first responders and safety-trained professionals who bring that same discipline and calm precision from the field to every rooftop and tree we touch.
We’re a family-owned, mom-and-pop operation, not a faceless franchise or “big box” company. Husband and wife run the business side by side, and even Mom helps out in the office. That means when you call us, you’re talking directly to people who care, not a call center. Most of our customers know us by name and become friends by the time their lights are on.
Every home is treated like our own, and every job, no matter the size, gets the same personal attention. That’s what community looks like to us.
Our story started on the job, during some of the toughest nights as a first responder. Amidst the chaos and heavy calls, one thing always stood out during the holidays: the lights. Driving past homes glowing with warmth and color reminded us that, even in hard seasons, there’s still joy and hope shining through.
That feeling, the comfort and nostalgia that holiday lights bring, is what inspired The Light Medic. We wanted to bring that same sense of peace and brightness to families and businesses across Central Texas.
When we install your lights, it’s not just a job. It’s a chance to create something meaningful, a space that makes you smile every time you pull into your driveway or pass by your storefront.
We handle everything from start to finish, with precision, safety, and care:
Rooflines, trees, walkways, accents, and more.
Storefronts, rooftops, event lighting, and displays.
Year-round solutions for color-changing, programmable lighting.
After the holidays, we safely remove and box your lights, with optional off-season storage.
Tailored plans to fit your home, style, and budget.
We supply all commercial-grade, custom-built lighting, designed to fit your property perfectly — no cheap store-bought strands here. Every bulb is top-quality, and if one burns out, we replace it for free when you rebook each season.
We show up when we say we will — no ghosting, no excuses.
Ladder, roof, and electrical safety are second nature to us.
We only use premium, commercial-grade lighting built to last.
Every customer gets individualized service — and usually a new friendship.
No inflated blanket quotes — every project is custom-priced fairly and clearly.
We leave your home spotless — no loose wires, clips, or damage.
Our clients love that we communicate clearly, follow through on promises, and make their holidays stress-free. No over-promising. No vanishing after install. Just real people doing quality work — the right way.
We hear it all the time — “I can just do it myself,” or “installers charge too much.” The truth is, professional lighting isn’t just about hanging strands. It’s about safety, durability, and design. DIY setups often lead to uneven lines, burnt bulbs, overloaded breakers, or worse — ladder falls.
Our installations are built to last all season, using damage-free clips, low-voltage systems, and clean, secure techniques that protect your home and property. And unlike many companies, we always return for takedown — no waiting until March to see your lights come down.
